Camp NaNoWriMo 2015

Late to the party but I have been coaxed into taking part in this year’s

In a way it’s only logical. At the beginning of the month I had an idea for a new short story (it slowly turns into a novella but I won’t get into it too much for now) and started writing regularly again. A new acquaintance pointed out to me that it is Camp NaNoWriMo month and asked whether I wanted to join the cabin and writing-ballooza. I thought, it can’t hurt to have an additional incentive. Mind you, that was already 10 days into the event. So I set myself the goal of 30.000 words and up until now it’s going quite well.

As always, I fear the editing part afterwards. Right now I only concentrate on writing. My motto – that I took from one of last November’s NaNoWriMo participants –
“First drafts don’t have to be perfect. They just have to be written.”

And from one of the pep talks:
“I can fix a bad page, I can’t fix a blank page.” (Nora Roberts)

On that note: write on!

(Nora Roberts)

In diesem Sinne: weiter schreiben!
